The Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) Art Award is now in its fourth year. It was created to provide a valuable professional development opportunity for ten graduate artists. As well as benefitting from showing work at Liberty’s offices in the ‘Walkie Talkie’ building in Central London with the opportunity to sell work via an auction, each artist is able to take part in an intensive professional development programme. The graduate artists will be given a participation fee of £1000 each for the two year programme and a contribution to travel expenses. For 2022, the LSM Art Award will be open to selected students from The Art Academy, Kingston School of Art and University of Brighton – School of Art. Each participating art school will have at least two artists from their institution chosen to take part. From 2022 the project will run biannually. It will be open to artists graduated over the past two years and the development programme will run over a two-year period. The artists’ work will be exhibited for two years in Liberty’s Fenchurch Street office with an opportunity to show new work in the second year of exhibition.
